Blue's Clues

To all you moms out there who never heard or saw Blue's Clues. It's a very good tv show on Nick Jr, for kids. It's Enhances preschoolers' problem solving and metacongnition. The main characters are base on boy and his blue puppy. They look for different kinds of clues and put them together to guess what the clue is all about, and also to figured out what Blue's want's to do. The music is cache and will let them dance and sing along while they find all the clues. I'll give this tv show a five star...

Monster Jam DVD

 Monster Jams is a cool and exciting video, and tv show for little boys, it features big trucks with different animal character and shapes. These trucks are so big! and hefty, they can jump and flip over anything. They compete with each other in a big arena to see who can jump over the most cars,junk and dirt. Classic Family Game

If you were a child growing up in the 80's like me then you must remember the classic video game,Super Mario Brothers. Well the game is back and its fun for the whole family provided you own a Nintendo Wii Moms on this one I suggest you give in to the kids and let Dad buy the console :).The game is very family friendly and allows for up to four players, my 3 year old plays and he does not have a clue on what he is doing. But with all of the animation and interaction with the Wii remote and the graphics on screen we just enjoy seeing him give it his all trying. My 5 year old daughter has also mastered the skill to help her Mom and Dad get to the next level. Its a great friday night family time game and just like the original its fun for girls and boys!

Los Angeles County Museum of Art

The Los Angeles County Museum of Art or  better known to us locals as LACMA is located on the 3rd street in the Miracle Mile area of Los Angels. This Museum is defiantly children friendly it is also connected to the La Brea tar pits so you can go enjoy two places in one day. ( Make sure to wear walking shoes). I recommend that you sign the kids up for the Nexgen Program it allows free access to all exhibits for children  17 and under, now that is a deal. And for those who are from out of town and want to visit, all you have to do is go to the website and fill out the application and mail it in. Oh and did I forget to mention that each child that enters free also allows for free admission for an accompanying adult So next time you are looking for something to do with the family stop by LACMA!

Helping Haiti

As I sit at home watching the evening news I find it hard to image the pain and suffering that the country of Haiti must be going through. We sometimes take advantage of the minor comforts in life that might not mean much to us, but worth the world to others. A simple bottle of water quiches the thirst of a young girl trapped underneath a crumbled building for days. A women smiles as she receives a bag of rice and other nourishing foods that will provide for a hardy meal that will feed her family. There are images that are beyond the human imagination, yet there are millions of people from all over the world who are doing what ever they can to contribute to the rebuilding of a nation.There has been over 100,000 people that have died as a result of this devastating Earth Quake. Many Children have been left with out parents or in some cases not even a relative to care for them. This is the time to care and share, now more than ever we all must do our part to help the people of Haiti move fowarded and rebuild.

 

Brainy Baby 123's

Brainy Baby 123's is an educational DVD for babies, that teaches kids how to count from 1-20 and how to identify items that matches up with different numbers. It shows kids holding up signs, and interacting with each other, and what possible careers some of these babies might have in the future. By watching this videos they will learn how to laugh, play, and sing along.

This DVD is a Must have!
